Punch and Inject™: An Innovation in Annular Isolation
The Punch and Inject Tool is getting results for customers for RP 1171 & 1172. The only tool of its kind. This is the permanent solution to the 100 year problem.
The Punch and Inject Tool is designed to help operators address annular isolation challenges with a rigless, targeted, e-line deployed solution. By mechanically punching the casing and injecting resin directly into the annulus, the system provides a precise way to remediate casing pressure, casing vent flow, water shutoff applications, and annular plug placement in a single intervention.

Micro Annular Repair
When you’re dealing long term annular pressure, loss of zonal isolation, and casing vent flow, you need a solution that bridges mechanical integrity and a method for reaching the tight environment that you are trying to repair but cannot repair with traditional perf squeeze.

Cement Repair
When cement degrades over time due to pressure cycling and other well events we are now able to precisely inject resin into the annuli in turn allowing for regulatory approval.

Waterflow Shutoff
The application of point injection allows us to constrict the pipe while we inject, which allows the resin to navigate the annulus and fill channels left in the cement in one precise run. We are able to shut off water flow only utilizing an eLine unit, and without the need of a rig or surface pumps.

Gas Shutoff
By utilizing point injection, the tool directs resin into the annulus, where it can penetrate the natural porosity of cement, which is 20% or greater, and disrupt tightly gas-filled flow paths. Using high-pressure, low-volume injection, the system delivers an accurate treatment without the need for a rig or surface pumps.

Direct Formation Isolation
Creating a precision barrier to permanently prevent water invasion into the pay zone is nearly unachievable with cement due to its natural porosity. Point injected resin, which is a closed cell medium with no porosity, can create a permanent barrier this with only inches of resin.

Regulatory Compliance
What to do when a regulator says your cement to the top is not high enough. We are able to raise the cement top with the Punch and Inject Tool by filling the void with resin. Having documented cases of increasing the ETOC by 275′ with as little as 5 gallons of resin injected
